2010 Gold Leaf Judges:
Lora Louise Broady, Professor of Applied Communications,
University of Denver
Lora Louise Broady has been marketing new technologies for over 20 years, specializing in the telecommunications and financial services industries. She holds a master's in business administration from Dartmouth College's Amos Tuck School and a bachelor's degree from The Colorado College. She developed new media applications and Internet properties for USWest/Qwest, marketed video conferencing technologies in Silicon Valley and initiated and managed the Internet Marketing department at INVESCO Funds Group. She currently is a professor of Applied Communications at the University of Denver and is a marketing management consultant specializing in new product development and business process reengineering.
Pat Riley, Colorado Oral-Deaf Preschool, Patricia Riley has more than 20 years' experience in healthcare marketing, corporate communications and public relations. Formerly the vice president of marketing at the Eating Disorder Center of Denver, Pat has served as the director/manager of marketing and public relations for HCA-HealthONE, Centura Health and Saint Joseph Hospital. She is a past recipient of several awards from the Gold Leaf competition sponsored by CHC. Currently, Pat is a consultant, helping healthcare clients with their marketing, corporate communications and public relations efforts.
Michelle Marks, Global Protocol Manager, Cell Therapies at CaridianBCT Michelle W. Marks has spent close to twenty years in business-to-business and consumer marketing, product management and sales. Michelle’s extensive healthcare experience dates back to the early nineties when she sold medical diagnostic devices in Atlanta, Georgia and Phoenix, Arizona for BioStar. Pursuing her lifelong passion for marketing, Michelle enjoyed several years in global product management roles for BioStar, COBE Cardiovascular and GE Healthcare, representing medical device, capital equipment and disposable product lines sold into the surgical, critical care, and ambulatory markets. Choosing to spend time starting a family with her husband Rich, Michelle spent a few years in Denver working in the capacity of sales and marketing director before returning to the medical device arena where she is presently managing the cell therapies business at CaridianBCT. With responsibilities in strategic planning, product development, and leading global sales, marketing, and clinical teams, Michelle has recently spent more time on an airplane than at her home in Denver, Colorado which she shares with her husband Rich and two children. Michelle received her BS in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder and her MBA from University of Denver.
Eric Meredith, Principal, Atria Brand Eric Meredith is the Principal and Co-Founding Partner of Atria, a branding and graphic design firm. He oversees the creative management of each account and client relations. Eric has directed numerous integrated branding solutions through brand identity systems, marketing collateral, advertising and digital media. He holds a degree in Economics and Political Science and has been a college instructor and guest speaker for a wide range of design and advertising courses. He and his firm have been published in prestigious design publications such as Graphic Design USA, BrandWeek and Rockport’s Best of Letterhead and Logo Design.
Gayle Davis, Communciations Director, Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN), Gayle’s experience in healthcare communications includes positions with the Visiting Nurse Association where she was vice president of marketing and community relations, HCA-HealthONE as manager of marketing and public affairs, and the March of Dimes where she was the Director of WalkAmerica. Before moving to Denver from New York City in 2000, Gayle was the executive director of a hospital foundation, public relations supervisor for McDonald’s with an ad agency and manager of corporate communications for Estee Lauder Companies.
